Need help with choosing hearing aids?

We understand that choosing the right hearing aids can seem overwhelming, but we’re here to make the process easy and stress-free. First, it’s important to remember that no hearing aid will work perfectly right out of the box, they need to be expertly adjusted to provide you with the best listening experience tailored to your needs. That’s why we offer a bespoke hearing aid fitting after your comprehensive hearing assessment, and hearing aid review appointments to ensure everything is optimally set for you.

Please note that while we cannot restore someone’s hearing to “normal,” we aim to provide the best possible support with the hearing aids they choose.

What happens during your hearing aid fitting appointment?

During your hearing aid fitting, your audiologist will:

Check the Fit: Ensure your hearing aids fit comfortably and guide you on how to insert and remove them confidently.

Customise the Setup: Adjust your hearing aids based on your level of hearing loss and lifestyle needs, which may include taking precise measurements of your ear canals to tailor the devices to the unique shape and size of your ears.

Provide Usage Instructions: Explain how to operate your hearing aids, covering various settings and functions and how to control them effectively.

Offer Care Guidance: Provide you with advice on the proper usage, care, and maintenance of your hearing aids.

Our audiologist will work with you to plan your next appointment, ensuring everything goes smoothly with your new hearing aid.

What happens during your hearing aid review appointment?

When you come in for a hearing aid review, one of our friendly audiologists will guide you through a comprehensive process:

Feedback Discussion: We’ll begin by discussing your experiences with your current hearing aids (if applicable), including sound quality, comfort, and any specific challenges you’ve encountered. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand how well your devices are meeting your needs.

Ear Health Check: Your audiologist will perform an otoscopy to examine your ear health, checking for issues such as wax buildup or infections. If necessary, we may conduct a hearing test to assess any changes in your hearing.

Personalised Adjustments: Based on your feedback and the results of the ear health assessment, we’ll make precise adjustments to your hearing aids, ensuring they are optimally tuned to your preferences and hearing needs.

At the end of your review, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to ensure your continued satisfaction and make any further adjustments if needed.
